1Uppro is a unique social media application focused on competitions and one-on-one engagements. It operates on a model where users can follow specific categories to view content and participate in challenges tailored to their interests, rather than relying on algorithmic suggestions.

The platform allows users to create open challenges, which are publicly available for anyone browsing the main page to accept. Alternatively, users can issue specific challenges to selected individuals, who will receive direct notifications of their invitation to compete.

Each battle on 1Uppro spans seven days, during which participants can cast one vote every 24 hours. The winner is determined by the total number of votes received at the end of this period. Successful videos are then archived among the top 25 in their respective categories. Additionally, past videos remain open to voting, allowing for both supportive '1Up' votes, which contribute positively to a video's score, and 'hater' votes, which detract from it.

User engagement in challenges and their win-loss ratio contributes to a level ranking system from 0 to 10, visible on their profiles alongside current challenges and historical results. Furthermore, the administration hosts bracket challenges featuring between four and 120 participants. Competitors are placed within brackets according to their skill levels, with opportunities for cash prizes and other rewards at stake.

The overarching aim of 1Uppro is to foster community interaction through challenges while helping users build their fan base, enhance their skills, and compete for prizes.
